The IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence, established in 2009 by the International Ranking Expert Group (IREG), is a globally recognized initiative focused on advancing academic rankings and excellence in higher education. It provides a platform for stakeholders to collaborate, share best practices, and address challenges related to university rankings. Through conferences, workshops, and publications, the Observatory promotes transparency, integrity, and diversity in ranking methodologies while advocating for accountability and continuous improvement.
